Information we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your account identifier, name, email address and profile image, if available. You can provide your first and last name, phone number, profile photograph, comments, likes, contact enquiries, applications and career submissions. Career submissions may include a PDF resume. If you permit location access while completing your profile, the app captures your current coordinates and saves them with your profile. Location sharing is optional; the app does not track your location in the background.
The app uses Firebase Analytics and our own analytics to measure screen visits and app use. These services can process installation or visitor identifiers, session identifiers, screen names and device information. Firebase Cloud Messaging processes a device messaging token so we can deliver notifications. Our servers may receive standard technical information such as IP address and request logs when you use the app or website.
How we use information
We use this information to sign you in, maintain your profile, display your submissions, process enquiries and applications, enable and moderate comments, respond to requests, send trust updates where notifications are enabled, measure use, maintain security and operate the service. We do not use your precise location for background tracking or display it publicly to other users.
Who processes information
Authorised Abhina administrators can access information needed to operate the service and respond to requests. We use Google Firebase for authentication, analytics and notifications, MongoDB Atlas for database storage, and hosting providers for the website and API. Opening a YouTube video, WhatsApp link or another external service may cause that service to process information under its own policy. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising in the app.
Your choices and requests
You can deny notification or location permission in your device settings. You can remove a saved location from your profile and save the change. You may request access, correction or deletion of your account information by using **Settings → Request for Delete Account** in the app, or by emailing support@abhina.org. A deletion request is sent to the trust for processing; submitting it does not immediately erase all records. We may need to verify your identity and retain information required for legal, accounting, security or dispute purposes. We keep other information only as long as needed for the purposes described here and then delete or de-identify it.
Security and changes
We use authenticated access and encrypted connections to protect information in transit. No system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy when the app or our practices change; the updated version will appear at this address with a new date. Contact support@abhina.org with questions.
